appointment
Platform, the intermediary lender of Britannia is
delighted to announce the appointment of Mark Gordon to the role of
Head of Proposition. The newly created Proposition department
brings together Platform’s Marketing, Product Development and
E-Commerce functions and is one of three areas within the business
to be recently restructured.
Mark Gordon will oversee a team of eight with
responsibility for delivering a fully integrated product design and
customer service proposition.
Mark has been Platform’s Head of Product
Development since March 2006.
Commenting on his appointment, Mark Gordon
said: “As a business, one of our key priorities going forward is to
develop and enhance our overall proposition supported by delivery
of the customer experience. Combining these three vital
functions into one department will enable us to ensure that we are
offering a proposition that is delivered on for the entire customer
journey. I am very excited to have the opportunity to take this
department forward and I am confident we have the right structure
and skills in place to realise our ambitious plans.”
David Tweedy, Platform’s Managing Director
said “So far, 2008 has been a challenging year for all in the UK
mortgage market. Over the past few months we have undergone a
thorough assessment of our business model and associated
organisational structure and have made a number of changes that set
us up as a business that is fit to tackle the challenges that we
are currently facing. I am certain that the changes we have
made and the ongoing backing of our parent company Britannia put us
in a strong position to take advantage of opportunities once
stability returns to the market. My congratulations go to Mark for
his well deserved appointment.”
This appointment follows the recent announcement of Platform’s
newly restructured Sales department.
