Platform enhances online solution for packagers
- XML technology used to integrate systems with selected
packagers
Platform, the intermediary lender of Britannia, is
integrating its online clickdecision tool with a number of selected
packagers’ internal systems using XML technology *. This move will
enable them to use Platform’s award winning decision tool in
conjunction with their own bespoke technology to create greater
efficiencies and save hours of labour.
Platform’s innovative move gives the lender a technological lead
in the specialist mortgage sector by providing an improved service
to a number of packaging relationships. Ultimately, this
functionality will benefit the broker who will receive a binding
decision from Platform either via the lender’s website, or via the
selected packager partners.
Over the next few weeks, more packagers will be included in this
initiative and further plans are being developed to increase the
functionality offered, for example linking in Platform’s online
application system, which will be launched later this year.
Jim Hunter, Head of Ecommerce for Platform, said:
“The integration of clickdecision with packagers is a major step
forward for Ecommerce in the specialist lending market. With the
rise in use of online decision tools, such as clickdecision, the
use of XML technology is the next step to enable integration with
our packaging partners. By reducing the need to double-key
client data, this new functionality significantly enhances our
service proposition and further demonstrates Platform’s commitment
to the packaging sector.”
Harpal Singh, Operations Director, Optoma Broker Solutions
said:
“This is great support from Platform. Integrating with Platform’s
clickdecision is fantastic as it reduces the time for Optoma to
process Platform cases. This enhances our packaging proposition for
the intermediary. Not only do we have superb Platform exclusives,
and underwriters on site, but now the speed to offer will be even
faster.”
Simon Mouncher, Operations Director, em-financial said:
“We are delighted to be able to integrate our sourcing and
decisioning systems with Platform's clickdecision. This
represents a significant enhancement to the em-homeloans operation
and in turn enables us to service our own clients even faster.”
Andy Brown, Partner, The Finance Centre, said:
“This use of technology is a huge benefit to TFC as we can now get
binding clickdecisions from Platform straight into our systems
within seconds without the need to re-key any data. We're really
pleased to be working so closely with Platform to streamline our
service even further. TFC has invested significant resource in
order to achieve our aim of having an offering based on a full
online IT platform and this is another step towards achieving that
aim.”
* XML is an Internet based language that provides more
flexibility than simple HTML. It is fast becoming the
standard for integration between systems to enhance online
distribution relationships. Platform is a sponsor of the
Origo Standards initiative which also supports XML.
