Platform appoints head of credit risk
Platform, the intermediary lender of Britannia, is
delighted to announce the appointment of Piero Bassu to the post of
Head of Credit Risk within the company’s Risk & Compliance
Department.
Reporting directly into Alexia Antoniou, Platform’s Director of
Risk & Compliance, Piero is tasked with managing the Credit
Risk team responsible for supporting the business strategy and
ensuring Platform’s risk appetite is reflected in business
activities.
Piero worked at Platform for two years within the Credit Scoring
team both as a Credit Scoring Manager and as a Senior Credit
Analyst before taking a one year sabbatical to travel the world and
work on a number of charity initiatives. Prior to Platform,
he worked for a number of years at leading credit card issuer
Capital One UK as a Business Analyst specialising in risk
management and scorecard development.
Commenting on the appointment, Alexia Antoniou, Platform’s
Director of Risk & Compliance said: “We are delighted to
welcome Piero back to the Credit Risk team. Current market
conditions have underlined the ongoing importance of a prudent and
sensible approach to credit practice and we are therefore pleased
to be able to bolster our team with this appointment. Piero brings
with him a wealth of specialist knowledge to this key role and I
