Platform unveils new look sales team
- Lender recruits eleven new BDMs in sales drive
Platform, the intermediary lender of Britannia has today
unveiled a new look sales team in advance of new and exciting
product enhancements planned early in Q1 2007.
In a move that sees the appointment of eleven new Business
Development Managers (BDMs) to the already highly experienced team,
Platform has enhanced its coverage across all geographical regions
throughout the UK. The launch of a new look team is designed to
provide a greater level of service to intermediaries by offering
more regional and dedicated points of contact. With the
appointments of these new staff, Platform’s sales force now totals
more than 30.
Through its online clickthinking survey launched in 2006,
Platform aims to identify ways in which it can improve its service
to intermediaries. Feedback throughout the year suggested increased
support through a broader sales presence was one of the primary
desires of intermediaries and was a major factor in the decision to
initiate the change.
Richard Beardshaw, Platform’s Head of Sales said: “Platform
enjoyed a record 2006 but we are keen to maintain momentum and
break new ground in the coming year. To this end, we are delighted
to announce the unveiling of our new look sales force which
includes additional presence across all UK regions. The quality of

industry players including Bradford & Bingley, Bristol &
West and Bank of Scotland - has been exceptional. The aim of
Platform’s sales division has always been to add value to an
intermediary’s business and I look forward to working with all of
